Not My Will

I was meditating and the Lord began to speak these words to me. Be Blessed.

“But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.” Joshua 24:15 (NIV)

“So Jacob said to his household and to all who were with him, “Put away the foreign gods that are among you and purify yourselves and change your garments…” Genesis 35:2

“For all the peoples walk each in the name of its god, but we will walk in the name of the LORD our God forever and ever.” Micah 4:5

While it has been chaotic, confusion, calamity, and difficult for most of us this year, God has used 2011 as the year of testing, trying, purifying, proofing, straightening and correcting. For the past eight (8) months there have been things lost and taken from your hands because God wanted every residue of your past away from you. Relationships have changed, jobs have changed, assignments are different, you have low tolerance for some of the foolish things that once were. Your thirst and hunger for the word had been greater and your sensitivity to the Holy Spirit has been heightened.

Like Abraham, God has sent you to a place that was unfamiliar so that you would trust Him. Like Joseph, He has caused you to be disliked, misunderstood and thrown away by your kinsmen because; He wanted you in a position to bless them. Like Moses, He has caused you to learn from the enemy’s camp, so that you can go back and deliver the people that are oppressed. Like Joshua, He has allowed you to glean from great men so that you would lead others into the land and conquer it. Like Gideon, He has shown you the army of people that will fight with you and defeat the enemy. Like Samuel, He has called you until you have recognized His voice. Like David, He has sent you to the fields to be strengthened for the uphill battle to ascend to the throne He has anointed you for. Like Solomon, He has given you wisdom beyond your years to know and understand His nature. Like Isaiah, you’ve seen Him. Like Jeremiah, He’s put words in your mouth. Like Daniel you’ve made a choice to be His and His only.

You’ve been is seasons of mourning, dancing, killing, rejoicing, planting, uprooting, winning, and losing, but still like Job, nothing has been able to touch your soul. You’ve remained His. God says, “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light”. 1 Peter 2:9(NIV) and “For whomever THE LORD JEHOVAH loves, he instructs, and draws aside his children with whom he is pleased.” Heb 12:6 (Aramaic Bible)

The last days of this year are crucial to your life, purpose, and ministry. He’s called you to be greater, to submit to His will and His plan for your next assignment. Favor has been extended so that the way will be easy.” lift up your eyes, and see that the fields are white for harvest.” John 4:35d (ESV). He wants to bring His Kingdom forth through you and the choice must be made to be on His side; all the way or nothing. Make a choice, pick a side, a battle is inevitable, but you must be on one side or the other. There are no middle roads, fence sitting, or wavering. You must either be sheep or goat, wheat or tare, on the straight way or the broad path. It’s up to you. His will or yours, but choosing your way will be hard like Jonah’s, deadly like John the Baptist’s, and harsh like Saul’s. It’s up to you. Selah
